An unforgettable lesson

I was having fun in the sea with my friends. I am a good swimmer but was inclined to show off myskills. We were in chest-deep water but I ventured out into deeper water to show my friends how well I could swim.

For a while i swam merrily about. Suddenly i was seized by cramps in my legs. i could not swim any longer. In desperation i shouted for help and tried to stay afloat with my hands. i was in real danger of drowning.

My friends were not good swimmers and thus could not help. Fortunately a man on the seashore heard my cries. Immediately the man swam out and pulled me to the shore.

I thanked the man for saving my life. From then on i never showed off again in the sea.
